FOCOS program started in 2010 and is offered in partnership with FOCOS EU.
Europe, North America and Asia are currently three places where the training is offered every year.
The program is also offered in Spanish
In Cru we have started FOCOS in 2015 with the first group of staff in Central and Eastern Europe.
Since then around 150 staff from 15 countries from our region have gone through the Foundational Coaching Training.
As a result we have been able to coach thousands of people from students to business professionals.
Our team of international coach trainers have partnered with FOCOS Platform,
helping Cru leaders & volunteers, other ministry leaders, and business entrepreneurs integrate coaching
skills into their unique contexts. The Foundational Coaching Skills course (FOCOS) is designed for people
who desire to enhance their leadership, discipleship, as well as their interpersonal or business skills.
Coaching is a relational partnership and skill set that empowers people to achieve growth and change.
Creators: Wolfgang Jani, master trainer is an ICF professional certified coach (PCC) and founded the FOCOS training in 2010 together with Tina Stolzfus.
Participants: More than 500 trainees, staff from 61 countries attended the FOCOS program. Those who reported their coaching hours, have provided at least 7,000 hours, to over 1,260 missionaries. They have provided coaching in at least 14 languages in over 60 countries.
Trainers: Cristina Dragomir is the Lead trainer who is a certified PCC coach. Lynn Kesler and Elvis & Alina Filote are co-trainers, life and leadership coaches and trainer coaches. Zina Herman, Ana Maria Barbu and Milena Jakimovska are apprentices with the FOCOS program.

Cristina Dragomir
Lead trainer, PCC, Executive coach
Cristina is a Certified Executive Coach, and Professional Certified Coach with ICF. She and her husband have served with Cru for more than 20 years. She is passionate about helping leaders and entrepreneurs to live and lead out of their values and fulfill their calling in each role that they have – in family, team and their organization. She enjoys great conversations, writing and outdoor sports with her husband and their two girls, 8 and 10.
Lynn Kessler
Master Trainer, PCC
Lynn is a Regional Representative of Faculty Commons, a ministry of Cru. Having served with Cru for over 40 years in various ministry capacities, she has extensive leadership and mentoring experience. As a professionally certified coach, she gave leadership to Cru’s coach training in 20 countries in Europe. After 20 years in Europe, Lynn and her husband, Jim, now live in Oklahoma where she enjoys her family, ministry with university professors, and a good conversation.
Alina Filote
Co trainer, PCC
She is a PCC coach who supports entrepreneurs, organizations and teams to build a high trust culture and increase individual performance and effectivenes. For the past 12 years she has been working with entrepreneurs and their management teams. She is very passionate about tranforming leaders and raise their impact in society.
Elvis Filote
Co trainer, PCC
Elvis Filote as a PCC coach served as a director for Leader Impact Romania for more then 10 years and now is serving as a part of the Global team LeaderImpact. Together with Alina as a business partner they trained and coached over 750 CEO’s and managers through the program LEAD 360, that they developed themselves. He is passionate to train leaders through FOCOS training and see better leaders and better teams.
Ana-Maria Barbu
FOCOS Apprentice
Ana Maria is a Focos graduate and in the process of becoming a Focos trainer. She has coached over 150 coaching sessions and she is passionate about learning and developing herself whil helping others become a better version of themselves. Ana Maria is dedicated to empower you in discovering and unraveling your God-given potential while navigating life’s challenges.
Zina Herman
FOCOS Apprentice
ACC certified Life Coach, and passionate to equip women in the areas of Spiritual Formation, Personal Development, and Relationship Building. Zina is committed to use the coaching approach to help you discover new perspectives, gain more self-awareness and identify your next steps. She can coach in English, Romanian and Russian.
Milena Jakimovska
FOCOS Apprentice
Milena is a Focos graduate and in the process of becoming a Focos trainer. She has coached over 150 coaching sessions and her passion for coaching comes from her love for people. She loves to listen to people and challenge their thoughts to help them discover new horizons in their lives. In her coaching sessions she is driven by her belief “Each person has a God’s given potential that should be lived freely”. Her coach training experience has been constantly developed through different courses.
