​FOCOS – the foundational coaching skills training course is designed for people who are busy and desire to enhance their interpersonal skills and personal leadership.

WHY COACHING?

​Through Coaching we empower individuals to explore and implement their God given calling without telling them how they should do it.

  • • You are willing to make a 9 months commitment to your training and coaching others

  • This course will help you
  • • Understand adult learning
  • • How to recruit and motivate volunteers and potential employees
  • • Build ownership in relationship with your clients/volunteers/partners
  • • Engage the heart of those you serve Coaching conversation
  • • Have a coaching conversation where the person will be more engaged and motivated to implement
  • • Provide feedback, affirmation, accountability and support
  • • 30 hours of coaching to be counted under The International Coaching Federation (ICF) program

Course Structure & Timeline

phase1
Phase 1
  • Attend 6 online classes, 4 Connect Groups
  • Read Leadership Coaching by Tony Stolzfus
  • Have 6 coaching appointments (60-90 min.) with a professionally trained coach

Experience coaching for your own benefit and growth together with a professional coach

phase2
Phase 2
  • A week-long workshop in Bucharest, Romania
  • You will learn specific coaching skills
  • You will be ready to coach others by the time you leave

Experience coaching others and receive feedback

phase3
Phase 3
  • Attend 5 2-hour online classes, 4 Connect Groups
  • Read Coaching Questions by Tony Stolzfus
  • Have 2 mentor coaching sessions (60 min)
  • Coach 30 coaching sessions (60-90 min. each)
  • 1 live observation & feedback session with the lead trainer for feedback & skill development

  • NOTE: Participants from non profit organizations may apply for scholarships
